Inspiration

Creating an app, using T-Mobile's YNA API, that helps corporations increase customer retention rates through efficient customer phone service enables users to schedule appointments and calls without staying on hold.

Our inspiration for this project stemmed from the growing need for efficient and personalized customer service and marketing solutions. We aimed to create a platform that harnesses the power of AI and modern technologies to address these challenges.

What It Does

Our application allows corporations to schedule calls at their convenience, providing a phone number and a description of what they want to convey. Leveraging T-Mobile's Your Number Anywhere API, our app initiates the call at the specified time, using Chat GPT to generate live responses during the conversation so that the user can dedicate their time elsewhere. At the end of the call, we use machine learning to summarize the entire phone call into the most important points for the user to review. In addition, our application will also find the next meeting time discussed during the call, if any, and create a Google Calendar link that the user can add after reading through the call summary. This innovative solution has the potential to revolutionize customer service by reducing wait times, increasing customer retention, and enabling businesses to make personalized mass marketing calls while maintaining their brand's consistency.

How We Built It

We built this application by integrating the capabilities of T-Mobile's Your Number Anywhere API with Chat GPT's natural language processing. The application's backend uses the Your Number Anywhere API to handle call scheduling and initiation, while implementing Open AI into an AI assistant that ensures that reasonable live responses are generated during the call. After the call, our app generates a Google calendar link based on the next meeting time discussed between the AI assistant and the other end of the call that users can add after reading through the summary. The user's scheduled and past call records are stored in a Firebase database, which our application uses to visually present these calls' details. The application's user interface and experience were carefully designed through React and Bootstrap to ensure ease of use and efficiency. The result is a seamless and powerful tool that empowers businesses to offer exceptional customer service and highly personalized marketing efforts.

Challenges Faced

We faced issues with incorporating Chat GPT into our application. We wanted to create an AI assistant that would seamlessly talk to users in a casual tone while adhering to business ideals and maintaining a professional image. We ran through multiple iterations of prompts to train Chat GPT and ultimately were able to settle on one that was polite and respectful while strictly following the user's call requirements and description.
