Celeste Chatbot

Celeste's a chatbot who specializes in predicting diseases through given symptoms and can have a nice conversation with its users. Celeste will give you the helpful and reliable information you need.

Inspiration

One of our groupmates had done one hackathon before but the other groupmate hadn't. We wanted to try out a simple hackathon at our own school and gain some experience as the beginners we were.

What it does

Celeste is a chatbot that provides detailed information on what disease you may have and communicates with the user to improve their mood.

How we built it

We used repl.it after trying to work with VS code. repl.it was versatile and helped with our needs in website designing and the actual program.

Challenges we ran into

Two other groupmates had talked my partner and I into this project and we were excited to do it with them. However, when we arrived, those groupmates didn't come. We felt demotivated and felt like we wanted to quit. However, we decided to keep going and persevere, giving our best shot so that we would win. There were also some HTML formatting errors.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're most proud of using Artificial Intelligence models for predicting diseases AND chatting with users on a face-to-face level. We're also proud of navigating the CSS and HTML link errors.

What we learned

I learned how to use CSS tags and deal with AI responses.

What's next for Celeste Chatbot

We want to improve the accuracy of this bot because nothing can ever be 100% perfect. This will surely increase its reliability and usage. We also want text-to-speech commands.
