Inspiration
I wanted to build an exciting cookbook experience for users that can offer something for everyone who wishes to expand their culinary knowledge and horizons. Through the reference tutorial experience, I sought to build an application that could allow users to learn more about new recipes and dishes through voice assistant technologies. With that goal in mind, I set out to create a multifaceted guide able to educate potential chefs, offering them an intellectually fulfilling experience that will allow them to reflect on new insights and facts while immersing themselves in the joys of cooking.
What it does
The cookbook application is meant to store various recipes on simple dishes, offering detailed guides and tips on how to make them with finesse. It offers all the tips one would ever need to best prepare ingredients as well as cooking methods through informative queries that will bring out one's culinary skills to make the best dishes possible. From beginners to experts, we can show you how to make your dishes truly shine.
How we built it
The core frameworks used by the application were those associated with Amazon Alexa, with support from AWS services like Lambda to store all the information pertaining to different questions and possible answers as well as tips and tricks. The cookbook components were rendered within the Alexa framework using JavaScript elements.
