Inspiration π‘
The inspiration for DevNote came from notepads not embracing the beauty of codes, imagine stumbling on a code snippet around and then pasting it into a regular notepad and then it just sits there like every other text. We wanted to create a notepad that cherish the beauty of code, providing you the entire Code Syntax Highlighting depending on the programming language youβre working with, yet also staying true to the fact that it is just a notepad where you can add your personal touch, customize, and be creative with your texts.
What it does π
DevNote is your canvas for Texts & Codes. It is a developer-friendly notepad, providing syntax highlighting, formatting tools, and note-taking features turning your old gabbage notepads as a developer into a fun like developer enviroment with the syntax highlighting, making the code more readable and also allowing you use markups to take beautiful notes.
How we built it βοΈ
DevNote was built using a combination of interesting technologies like Nextjs for building the user-friendly web interface and platforms like Tauri for testing the platform on Desktop. Our team worked persistently to ensure we get it to work facing some bugs haha.
Challenges we ran into π§
Crafting DevNote came with challenges of its own. We had a hard time implementing some feature but ended up figuring it out it as a team which took us some time but we sat down together and squash the bugs.
Accomplishments that we're proud of π
Finishing this hackathon and making friends with each another
What we learned π
We learned how to come together as a team and help each other when we got stuck on a certain problem when each of us needed help.
