Inspiration
It typically takes up to a week to get an appointment with a doctor if you need a speedy response. By locating a doctor who is available in the area or setting up a 1:1 online consultation, we hope to shorten the time needed to see a doctor.
What it does
The system will ask you for some basic information, such as your name, address, email, symptoms, and a time range for a meeting. Another option would be a chatbot, which will ask similar queries. When a patient submits this form, the system contacts some nearby doctors to inquire about their availability. Based on the doctor's rating and proximity to the patient's location, the system will then schedule a 1:1 visit for the patient with that doctor.
How we built it
We developed a React native application that will request the patient or doctor to Signup at first, then a user describe the situation of their child and look for doctors to consult. on the other hand, doctors get requests from the user based on certain criteria. we used Node.js and MongoDB for back-end development.
Challenges we ran into
Since react native does not have built-in components like a drop-down or date picker, we had to conduct a lot of component research. Using GCP APIs presented a few little challenges for us as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Providing easy and timely meetings with a doctor, whenever the patient requests. We are providing a preferred language feature so users can explain their symptoms and get treatment in their native languages.
What's next for DocEzie
1) We intend to expand the market for this system by introducing tokens or reward points; patients will accrue reward points following each doctor appointment, and after a specific number of points, we will be able to offer a free call service with any doctor. 2) Create a system for the automatic distribution of a doctor's prescription to the patient following a scheduled call. 3) Putting the principles of insurance into practice.
