Inspiration
I used lots of software from windows in my office to reproduce Printed documents to accessible soft copies and with the growth of the android technology i always loved to speed up my work by avoiding repetition at all cost
What it does
This app uses the Camera or Image file on the android device and generates text based on the Bitmap of text it found
How we built it
I built this on Android Studio using Java, XML and Text Cropper Dependency
Challenges we ran into
The App Developed a few bugs and could not use the Text Cropper functionality well but i am checking out the problem since it is not internal but from the Library.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The basic functionalities are all good and the app is great with UI as it accesses the camera and storage without issues
What we learned
For the first time i got to create my own OCR and Use it in my Project i am very happy to have this experience
What's next for DocX Generator
I wish to include User Registration, Login and Online Backup, also to enable Image Scan for regenerating Receipts and Documents in v2
