Inspiration

Despite probably sounding like a frivolous idea, doubleURizz was inspired by how difficult it is to get into a relationship. As individuals become increasingly disconnected, doubleURizz aims to bring people back together through love and charisma.

What it does

doubleURizz is an online bot that specializes in charisma training. Through dating simulations, doubleURizz will provide live feedback and a summary of the user's overall charisma ("rizz"). By using speech analysis and facial expression recognition, doubleURizz is able to warn users when they approach personal, inappropriate, and offensive topics.

How we built it

We used Python, OpenCV, DeepFace, ChatGPT, Flask, HTML, and CSS to host doubleURizz on a website.

Challenges we ran into

We encountered a multitude of challenges during the past 36 hours. Firstly, we struggled with ideation and spent too much time on a past idea that ended up never coming to fruition. Once we settled down on the idea of doubleURizz, we had to find a way to use Python and HTML together (and none of us had ever used Flask).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are all proud of being able to learn and incorporate many technologies from Python to Flask to Arduino (although we were unfortunately unable to use Arduino in our final project).

What we learned

We learned not to rush into a project idea before considering whether or not it is feasible, applicable, and useful. We also learned the lesson of requesting hardware supplies in advance. Since we were a little late to borrowing hardware items, we ended up having to scrap a lot of our original project ideas to compensate for the lack of hardware.

What's next for doubleURizz

Since doubleURizz only has a female trainer, we hope to include more variety in the future. We plan to create different personalities and trainers from a variety of demographics. After all, true charisma must be able to work on almost anyone.
