Driving Test Quiz

The G1 Test is a written by many people each year. With a high failure rate, we plan to help newcomers prepare for this simple test. This app features many practice quizzes for the G1 written test.

Inspiration

In school, we were introduce to many fun websites such as Kahoot and Khan Academy which helped promote interactive learning. With our project, we tried to create that same theme and influence more users to enjoy learning and preparing for the G1 Written Knowledge Test.

What it does

The purpose is to help prepare future test writers fully equipped with the necessary information to succeed on the G1 Driver Test. The app has some key features:

  • main menu
  • a quiz (game menu)
  • a list of top 5 high scores

With many assorted sets of questions used to train and help users prepare for the test.

Challenges we ran into

As beginners to web development, some challenges we ran into are:

  • implement a way to store/retrieve the high scores
  • integrating a colour change indicating correct or incorrect when selecting an answer

What we learned

Throughout this project, we learnt:

  • How to create a basic webpage that is interactive
  • How to use git (version control) correctly
  • The structure and features of a modern webpage

What's next for Driving Test Quiz

The future of the Driving Test Quiz app is to overall polish it and will include:

  • two sections of test: Road Signs and Road Rules
  • add interactive images (zoom in and out)
  • a database to safely store scores
  • more complete sets of questions
  • the ability to sign in and customize profiles
