Agro Easy was inspired by the need to support small-scale farmers and eco-conscious gardeners, especially during times of modern scarcity due to war or other challenges. We aim to provide accessible consultation and resources to help them thrive sustainably.

What it does

Agro Easy supports farmers and eco-conscious gardeners, helping them overcome resource scarcity with practical, sustainable solutions. Inspired by modern limitations, we aim to bridge access gaps by providing straightforward resources and guidance tailored to their needs. What Agro Easy Offers -DIY Guides: Create natural pesticides and fertilizers from local materials to reduce chemical reliance. -Natural Pest Control: Discover eco-friendly ways to manage pests effectively. -Soil Management Tips: Learn to maintain soil health for better yield and sustainability. -Crop Recommendations: Get tailored crop suggestions based on location, land size, and season.

Agro Easy empowers users to thrive with the resources they already have, making sustainable farming achievable for all.

How we built it

We began the project with brainstorming sessions to identify the issues faced by farmers. We utilized:

  • Figma for design.
  • Visual Studio Code for coding, connected with GitHub for version control.
  • Various APIs, including Gemini API and News API, to enhance functionality.
  • And AI: ChatGPT

Challenges we ran into

Throughout the development process, we encountered several challenges:

  • Communication barriers among team members.
  • Merging our ideas and solutions.
  • Integrating APIs.
  • Managing fatigue. These hurdles tested our resilience but ultimately strengthened our teamwork.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One of our proudest achievements was successfully integrating APIs, which significantly enhanced the functionality of Agro Easy. This experience deepened our understanding of API management and web development.

What we learned

We learned a great deal about website development, particularly in:
