What it does

EDUPATH serves as an innovative online education platform designed to enhance learning for school students. It provides access to a variety of educational resources such as videos and PDF books. Additionally, EDUPATH incorporates artificial intelligence to offer personalized assistance, helping students to excel in their studies with interactive support.

How we built it

We developed EDUPATH using Django, a high-level Python web framework known for its robustness and scalability. Leveraging Django's powerful features, we created a dynamic platform where students can seamlessly access educational content and AI-driven support. Our development process involved meticulous planning, efficient coding practices, and continuous testing to ensure a user-friendly experience and reliable performance. Through Django's flexibility and extensive libraries, we've crafted EDUPATH to revolutionize online education, making learning more accessible and interactive for students everywhere.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was integrating AI functionalities into EDUPATH, particularly managing AI requests and responses effectively. Initially, we faced hurdles in handling these interactions smoothly using Django alone. To overcome this, we implemented JavaScript to refine and enhance the AI integration, ensuring seamless communication and response handling.

Another ongoing challenge has been the development of a robust student discussion section. While progress has been made, this area remains a work in progress as we strive to create a feature that fosters meaningful interaction and collaboration among students on EDUPATH.

What we learned

Through building EDUPATH with Django, we gained valuable insights into web development and coding practices. We deepened our understanding of Django's framework capabilities and honed our skills in Python programming. Moreover, this project taught us the importance of user-centric design and the impact of technology in enhancing educational experiences for students. We've also learned the value of continuous improvement, especially in refining AI integrations and fostering effective student engagement through innovative features.
