Overall
We created a discord bot to make your server more spy like. It has functions including but not limited to, message encryption via Caesar Cypher, key based message decryption, voice channel “jamming”, and a text-based “environment analysis” game. We learned how to work with discord's python API and most of our inspiration came from spy stereotypical gadgets.
Challenges we ran into
- Learning how to use Discord's API.
- Hosting the bot on an automated server.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Creating a project to solve a practical problem affecting thousands of people every day.
- Enabling people to create a server that is spy themed.
What we learned
- Basics of python development
- How to use version control with git and Github
- How to automated a process with an online service
- Communicating effectively to allocate tasks for each member and ultimately create a working product
