Inspiration
My inspiration for this was due to the fact that pollution is often a neglected issue. Not only does it harm the environment, but also people and animals.
What it does
People can post trash cleaning events and spread awareness about places which require cleaning of garbage or other types of pollution. It also has a machine learning feature to detect from an image if the location has trash or not. Also, there is a incentivized points system which can later be redeemed for prizes or rewards.
How we built it
Using HTML/CSS/Javascript & Machine learning.
Challenges we ran into
Sometimes the points weren't displaying or showing the correct value.
When the page was refreshed, sometimes the events disappeared.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finishing in time limit and learning more about javascript.
What we learned
I learned some more advanced javascript syntax & how to incorporate it with HTML & CSS.
What's next for EnviroMode
Have a Google Maps API to display nearby locations where you can make a positive impact.
