Inspiration

We got the idea for this project from our research over problems with the availability of urban and natural resources as well as our peers

What it does

Our program is split into three portions

  1. Quick Report: The user can report issues in urban infrastructure near them 2.ParkFinder: The user can find parks near them (in Pittsburgh, PA) 3.FarmFresh: The user can find farmer's markets near them. (in USA) ## How we built it We were able to make this application with Python's GUI interface. ## Challenges we ran into Combining the three programs into one, as well as finding the datasets were especially challenging. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of and what we learned We are proud of our ability to locate the user's coordinates and the integration of many programs into one Python file. We explored a variety of different concepts including geocoding and reverse geocoding. Utilizing various formulas such as the Haversine formula and using a KNN search, we were able to construct a method to measure distances and find parks or farmers markets nearby the user's location

What's next for EZ-Access

We can expand internationally as well as build communication between the users and the administrative officials.
