Inspiration

As a frequent hackathon visitor, we commonly notice that that after just 10 minutes the public Spotify public playlist is rammed with songs queued up for 10 hours plus! We decided to do something about this and make people earn the songs they want to listen to.

What it does

Our project allows you to queue Spotify songs, however you can only queue a song if you have enough points... these points are earn't through committing to GitHub.

How I built it

Built on a web based app using Python and Flask back end hosted on AWS.

Challenges I ran into

Getting around the auth issues on Spotify.
