🐙 GitJob
Get Hired By Friday
1. Connect Your GitHub
2. Push to Prod
3. Land a Job
🎯 Inspiration
Finding a job as a developer shouldn’t be about outdated resumes or endless applications.
We wanted to accelerate the hiring process by leveraging what truly matters—your developer contributions.
If you write great code, you should get hired effortlessly.
🛠️ How We Built It
- Frontend: Next.js + Tailwind + Framer Motion for sleek UI/UX
- Backend: Node.js + PostgreSQL + GitHub API for real-time developer insights
- Auth & Matching: Clerk + AI-driven job-matching algorithms
- Deployment: Vercel for frontend, Neon and AWS for backend services
🚀 What We Learned
- Developers hate resumes—so we focused on real GitHub contributions instead.
- AI-powered matching works. We built an adaptive ranking system to surface top devs.
- Speed matters. Automating profile setup and job matching made it frictionless.
⚠️ Challenges We Faced
- GitHub API Rate Limits: Optimizing requests to prevent throttling.
- Balancing Speed vs. Quality: Ensuring fast yet meaningful matches.
- Scaling Job Matches: Handling thousands of dev profiles efficiently.
🔥 The Future of GitJob
We’re making hiring instant for developers.
Soon, we’ll integrate live coding challenges and AI-driven job prep to make hiring even faster.
🐙 GitJob is the future of developer hiring.
