Inspiration
Every Hackathon we attend, we end up asking around on various Discord channels to find potential teammates whose interest, goals, and skill sets align with hours. We decided that it was time for that to be streamlined to help create the biggest power house of a team one could create.
What it does
HackaBud is an online platform that allows anyone to create a post, and match with another team or individual! The user can either make a post for any personal programming project or specify the Hackathon that they're trying to create a team for, ultimately streamlining the process!
How we built it
For frontend, we used React typescript with Vite. For backend, we used Java with Spring Boot for the REST API and database connections, with Auth0 for logins.
Challenges we ran into
- Figuring out how the UI should look.
- Getting springboot to function as intended.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- The UI Design
- It's simple and sleek.
What we learned
- Auth0
- Time management
What's next for HackaBud
