Inspiration
A lot of cities in Africa are plagued with poor waste management system. Our goal is to introduce a model that helps to create an improved waste management system and introduce a more developed society.
What it does
In addressing the challenges of urban waste management in Africa, our team designed an innovative Smart Plastic Recycling Model. This model is a user-friendly, efficient system that collects plastic waste, weighs it, and rewards users for their contribution to recycling effort
How we built it
We built this model using AutoCAD design and we used arduino kit and multsim NI to test the electrical workings of the model
Challenges we ran into
- Lack of fund to actually build the project.
- Securing partnership with recycling companies
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our solution is an accomplishment we are proud of because we believe it is a system that can revolutionize most cities in Africa and the world as a whole.
What we learned
We learnt that real change will come with challenges and we are ready to go for it.
