Inspiration

Transportation is a significant contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions, accounting for about 24% of CO₂ emissions from fuel combustion. Addressing climate change requires innovative solutions, such as robotic automation in transportation. The Institute-Based Shuttle Management System (IBTROS) is designed to automate and optimize shuttle services, reducing carbon footprints through advanced robotics and AI-powered systems. By integrating robotics into electric and solar-powered shuttles, IBTROS revolutionizes institutional transportation with sustainable, cost-effective solutions.

What it does

IBTROS utilizes robotic automation to provide a seamless, eco-friendly shuttle service. With an AI-powered system, users can interact naturally using a Telegram chatbot to:

Locate nearby shuttles using natural language commands.

Reserve seats or customize ride preferences.

Make secure payments via integrated payment systems.

Track shuttles in real-time using Google Maps.

The system incorporates robotics to streamline shuttle operations, such as automated scheduling, optimized routing, and minimal human intervention. BigQuery and Splunk ensure robust transaction monitoring and fraud detection, enhancing operational security.

How we built it

IBTROS integrates cutting-edge tools and platforms:

Python: For backend development and AI system integration.

Google AI Studio with Gemini 1.5: To handle natural language inputs and conversational booking.

Google Cloud: For scalable cloud computing and data storage.

BigQuery and Splunk: For real-time data processing and anomaly detection in transactions.

Google Maps API: For shuttle tracking and location services.

Robotic Systems: For autonomous shuttle management, including automated dispatch and energy-efficient routing.
