How "smart" are today's smart home devices?

We wanted to create a device that truly helps users by predicting behaviours, interests, and needs automatically. Current products are limited where they only function with a user command. Our creation, Iggy, is a virtual companion that offers a seamless and connected user experience between Rogers' wireless, internet, and media offerings.

Iggy will help customers save time and money by suggesting ways to improve their day-to-day lives. For example, Iggy knows if a user's front door censor has stopped working, then will automatically place a service request according to the user's calendar.

With Iggy's assistance taking on simple and routine customer problems, Iggy will free up time and resources for Rogers employees to be able to tend to more complex issues, which will customer wait times. Iggy will also provide data for Rogers to use to better understand customers and calibrate future product offerings.

Iggy can easily be incorporated into Rogers' current Ignite product suite and will continue to evolve to provide more complex and customized solutions to multiple members of a household.
