Inspiration

Kahoot, Quizlet Live, Jackbox, and other fun game/gamified sites

What it does

Quickly sorts students into teams that work better than classic alphabetical or random teams that plague group projects.

How we built it

Vue.js, Node.js, WebSockets, Visual Studio Code

Challenges we ran into

Nobody was fully comfortable with the technologies they worked with. We had never used Vue before and one of us was entirely new to WebSockets. Transitioning from RESTful APIs to the more informal setup of WebSockets was difficult, but very rewarding.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning Vue.js, WebSockets, making aesthetically pleasing screens throughout our application, and finishing the functionality on the backend

What we learned

Vue.js, WebSockets, and the power of teamwork

What's next for KaGroup!

Finishing up the project, and having a trial run with local high school teachers
