Inspiration
After numerous news reports of helpless kids stuck in sweltering cars, we decided to put an end to accidental child deaths, as well as add additional services which provide the parent/guardian with an affirmative understanding of their child's environment
How it works
Numerous sensors connected with a central Intel Edison communicate the ambient surrounding of the child to the the parent's iPhone, allowing them to receive an update, whenever the software feels it is an unsafe environment for the toddler.
Challenges I ran into
Computer equipment not co-operating, massive code issues, sensors not reading data quick enough
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Able to program in a completely new language, make new friends, work with people that share the same interests that I do.
What I learned
Slow and steady wins the race. There is no need to rush, as it will only cause you to stumble and make mistakes in the code.
What's next for KidKeeper
