Inspiration
Landmark recognition powered by object detection and Wikipedia is a cutting-edge technology that combines computer vision and comprehensive knowledge sources to identify and provide information about famous landmarks. Utilizing advanced object detection algorithms, this system can accurately detect landmarks in images or videos. Once a landmark is identified, the technology fetches relevant information from Wikipedia's vast repository of knowledge, offering users a seamless way to learn about the history, significance, and interesting facts related to the recognized landmark.
How we built it
It was built using yolov8 for object detection and then applying webs scraping using wikipedia
Challenges we ran into
Due to large model size , we are not able to import it into the github
