Inspiration

I have been learning more about RF reverse engineering and the IR controlled products is very accessible project for beginners without all of the heavy-duty equipment. My goal was to replace the IR remote control to the LED strip lighting in my apartment with an Android app.

What it does

I have full emulation of the IR remote control in an Android application with a shiny UI

Challenges I ran into

UI issues with Android are cumbersome.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I think this may be the nicest UI that I have ever made. In addition, I was able to successfully reverse engineer the IR line encoding without any outside help.

What I learned

I learned a lot about how consumer IR products work.

What's next for LEDroid

I would like to add music control
