Inspiration

We all know how difficult the year 2020 has been for us due to the pandemic situation, So we decided to create an application to embrace the small memories and moments in 2020 so we can start a fresh new year.

Rewind some good memories of 2020.. And welcome new year 2021 with positive vibes

What it does

The application allows user to upload their memorable images from year 2020 and convert it into a fun video to share with their friends on social media.

How I built it

The work on the application begin by thinking about the awesome UI and theme. We developed the whole application in React JS which gave us flexibility of components.

Challenges I ran into

We faced a challenge while trying to create a direct API which automatically converts the images to a common dimension which would look great in the video but due to lack of time and other factors we decided to go with alternative

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We successfully created a images-to-video converter that which really gave us the kick to work on more such projects and hacks

What I learned

We had not worked on video conversion related application earlier, working on this project made us learn new things, we together ran into many problems but solved them together.

What's next for Lets Rewind

We might try to integrate a full utility editor with with our images-to-video converter giving more freedom to the users and also add a option to add custom captions for the image.
