Traditional lotteries are inefficient with significant transaction costs. A decentralized lottery can significantly reduce transaction costs. Chainlink makes a lottery on a blockchain possible.

Inspiration

Traditional Lotteries are inefficient due to high transaction costs and don't pay out much to the winners. A decentralized lottery on a blockchain would be able to pay out far more to the winners. However, blockchains are deterministic and need Oracles to provide randomness for a random winner to be selected. Chainlink's support for randomness is a great fit for a decentralized lottery.
