Inspiration

In the current state of the healthcare system, over 90% of doctors do not write the reason for use on prescriptions, which is referred to as the indication, and instead only write a medication name. We recognized that the lack of indications hinder pharmacists from performing appropriate therapeutic checks, leading to inappropriate medication use and causing significant patient harm. So, we created MedRX!

What it does

MedRX is a web-based prescribing tool which allows prescribers to practice indication based prescribing to reduce errors and improve communication with pharmacists by adding the reason for use on the prescription, ultimately improving patient health outcomes.
