Inspiration
My inspiration was when trying to find a problem to solve, I thought of a solution which would benefit me and the community. Everyone enjoys fun experiences but the next day, it's back to normal. I wanted to create a tool to save memories and also share with friends & family.
What it does
Every time the website is accessed, the server labels the user with an ID. This ID stores your memories and the memories can be shared with other people. People can write the title and description of their memories to save to the journal. They can also enter the address and memory title to place it in Google Maps. The Map can be shared with friends to view places you liked and enjoyed going to. By building better connections between people, it also improves the person's health by making them visit and explore more places.
How we built it
The project was created using HTML/CSS/Javascript. I also used Google Maps API to display the maps.
Challenges we ran into
One of the challenges I ran into was the google maps not showing. After resizing and checking through my project again, I fixed the issue.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I'm proud of finishing this project in the time given and also creating a helpful solution
What we learned
I learned programming techniques and how to integrate it all together with an API for the final end product.
What's next for MemoryStash
Next steps are creating a friending system and profiles so you can view the memories in your friend's profile.
