Inspiration

nft auction environments generally progress in 2 dimensions. We have developed a platform that will enable people to examine, buy and bid on products in 3D by moving real-life auctions to the metaverse.

What it does

Metabid is a platform that allows people to auction and sell their second-hand cars or valuables, similar to real life ones. At the same time, people have the opportunity to open a store and sell their products with METABLOK tokens in the metaverse environment.

How we built it

Beytullah and Barış Baran worked together to design the Metaverse environment and create the auction mechanics with Unity . Hasan ÖZKUL, Fatih Furkan worked on the writing of solidity contracts. Suleyman also wrote a middleware backend api application that calls solidity contracts. Most recently, Alper has connected the metaverse and blockchain works, and our metabid beta version has emerged.

Challenges we ran into

We had some difficulties while working with Trongrid and we decided to make a separate backend that handles wallet management. In this way, people who enter the metaverse can enter directly with an e-mail password without connecting a tronlink wallet. It was also better in terms of UX.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Thanks to the metaverse environment we have produced by Webgl, people will be able to participate in nft auctions and purchase products without the need for an extra plugin wallet.We optimized our application well. It works without any performance issues. We think that we are the project that made the first auction in the metaverse environment and brought the concept of metaverse merchandising to the Tron ecosystem. We believe that we can carry this project to much better places with the support of Tron.

What we learned

We learned about developer products such as Trongrid and Tronscan. Tron documentation guided us while writing a backend wallet application with node.js.

What's next for METABID

In the later stages of the Metabid project, we will try different algorithms to move the objects put up for auction and sale from the real world to the metaverse and try to get closer to reality.

In addition, we plan to bring the application we created on the VR side to a level that can be uploaded to the Oculus Store.

We plan to strengthen our application by making user-friendly screens where member merchants and auction product owners can easily carry their products to the metaverse.

We are planning to add the vacant shops and the property of renting the land in the metaverse as nft in the future.
