Inspiration
Difficulties faced by the first-timers and daily travelling people are our main inspiration. We wanted to help them track their friends easily and save their valuable time. This is the first app that can track the Metro rail. For now we implemented the Hyderabad Metro rail. We are planning to expand soon.
What it does
It helps first-timers share their location easily so that they don't lose their way out. It also displays the timings of the trains so all the waiting time is now saved. It also helps people who want to travel together, easily track others.
How we built it
We used Figma for UI/UX designs, react-native for app development and firebase for backend part.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating firebase with react-native is one of the challenges but the main challenge is linking the data properly and updating the real-time database in firebase.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we are able to help people with our application. This application is absolutely free to use. We are also proud that we could at least release the basic version within limited time.

What's next for MeTrac
We are thinking of expanding MeTrac to other modes of transport and also add new features like real-time push notifications, Google maps support, AI support and many more.
