Inspiration
A combination of pivoting our idea at midnight, available data and hardware, and an AI training model.
What it does
It analyzes water at a microscopic level using inexpensive tools compatible with any smartphone to allow city residents to analyze their water for contaminants.
How we built it
We hooked clarifai into the API that reads the images that trains the model that tells the user to tell the city about the level of the clearness of the water.
Challenges I ran into
We couldn't figure out how to get the node.js-only API working with iOS for a while.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Figuring out a proper method to train the model to recognize clean water versus dirt water
What I learned
Pivot early and pivot often.
