Project Description: We used Java to create a platform where food pantries can organize all of their items clearly and efficiently. They can add and remove items, know if any items are expired, and know which items are perishable. We used Swing to create a UI for people to organized their information.
*Purpose: We chose this problem because of our recent work in a local food pantry where we found it to be disorganized and not efficient. It was a very chaotic experience and we had to think of a solution. This app can help food pantries become more organized, help more people, and serve the community properly.
How it Works: Users can add and remove items to the list depending on what is in their pantry, and they can check if the item is expired just by putting it into the app.
