Inspiration

You know when you get a photo for your phone background it gets all messed up? It zooms in too much, the resolution gets ruined, and the quality goes down. Well we got tired of this happening so we made a solution.

What it does

We created an application that can take any image of any aspect ratio and using ai to "outpaint" and make this image suitable to be used as a wallpaper for any phone. It maintains the quality as well as making a beautiful wallpaper without having to cut, crop or zoom the picture.

How we built it

Using golang and python (open ai api) as our backend, and html and css for our frontend as well as bash for no reason.

Challenges we ran into

Challeneges include connecting the frontend to the backend, as well as processing the image using the open ai api and pillow imaging library were the biggest areas where we struggled in. We were only 2 people, which put alot of work on each of the group members.
