Inspiration
We were buying products on amazon and we realized after purchasing that the price started to change after 2-3 days. This was terrible and hence we decided to code a code that automated a process to notify us when the price is affordable for us.
What it does
tracks price using the span id of the price on amazon and notifies you immediately.
How we built it
using python.
Challenges we ran into
modules many modules and libraries weren't working and so we had to change them at the last possible moment.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
we accomplished this at the last moment even after running into multiple errors.
What we learned
we learned about python libraries and how they work.
What's next for PriceHawk
advance it further by adding unique features like adding multiple amazon links, making it up to date (real fast time processing), and maybe an extension on the go.
