Inspiration
As a school student, with stressful life giving exams every now and then! I felt to create some cool games in XR so one can have that coolest experience right from their home and rejoice!!
What it does
I build games in Augmented reality, and published them on various social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Messenger etc.
How we built it
I build these using Spark AR Studio.
- Space game, It takes your face as an animated avatar and you can play the classic game with your head movement Preview: https://gifyu.com/image/Ss69X
- Aqua Eat Game, It's a filter but wait, not just a filter... Move your face and catch the food, open your mouth and goble it in Preview: https://gifyu.com/image/Ss6E2
- Random Stack, Well This quite handy to play informational games ... Guess the tech compnay!
- Puzzle Face XR. Solve the classic old puzzle but it's your face from the camers!! Preview: https://gifyu.com/image/Ss69e
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult for me to do this efficiently as
- I had exams
- It was a new thing for me I ran into multiple hard times as it being a creative thing, I had to deal with file sizes and a lot of stuff I didn't expect. Even doing stuff on cloud is time consuming.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am glad I found a mentor to guide me at difficult times. Although I didn't have much time to make my project, as i spent most of it learning stuff from internet and other resources, I am glad as it now all makes sense and will help me boost my skills even further.
What we learned
I learned how to create and publish effects and AR experiences, from simple makeup filters to more advanced ones with logic and scripting. I got familiar with a platform, and learned things like segmentation, body/face tracking, etc.
What's next for Project
I plan to launch them on many more platforms like Snapchat etc.. I also would like to create a website on which I can showcase the games, so users can select their preferred platform. Unfortunately, I couldn't do this at par with creating the games. I am also considering to pursue Meta's MIL blueprint course to become a certified AR creator
