GENERAL INTRODUCTION:

Our team has developed the ProjectsPro App, a cutting-edge project tracking system using Microsoft's PowerApps aimed at revolutionizing Project Management. This system aims to address the challenges faced by companies with so many projects to manage, time after time yet rely on manual processes, particularly those using Excel spreadsheets, to track project progress. By leveraging the power of PowerApps in this development, we have successfully automated and streamlined project tracking, empowering organizations to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and overall project management.

Problem Statement:

Traditional project tracking methods relying on Excel spreadsheets often lead to inefficient and error-prone processes. Manual data entry, lack of real-time updates, and limited collaboration capabilities result in delays, miscommunication, and difficulty in monitoring project progress. These challenges make it crucial for organizations to adopt a more streamlined and automated project tracking system.

Our Solution:

The ProjectsPro App offers a comprehensive solution to the limitations of Excel-based project management. By harnessing the capabilities of PowerApps, we have developed a user-friendly, customizable, and automated platform that facilitates efficient project tracking and management.

Basically ProjectsPro:

Eliminates the need for manual data entry by integrating with various data sources, such as project schedules, task assignments, and resource allocation. This automation saves time and minimizes the risk of human error.
Will allow stakeholders to access project information in real-time because Project progress, task updates, and milestones are instantly reflected, ensuring accurate and up-to-date reporting.

Future Works:

While our PowerApps project tracking system has already achieved significant milestones, we envision continuous enhancements and improvements to cater to evolving project management needs. Some future works we plan to undertake include:

This far, ProjectsPro development has used only the in-built PowerApps components. In future works , we recommend the use of PowerApps Components Framework (PCF) to build custom components and controls using familiar web development technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This will heed in the meeting of specific business requirements for different organizations.
To scale ProjectsPro project tracking automation, we recommend to leverage on the use of Microsoft’s powerAutomate to help in automatic monitoring of files.
Leveraging machine learning algorithms, we aim to introduce intelligent features into the system, such as automatic task prioritization, resource optimization, and risk identification.
