RateYourDab

RateYourDab is the first and only truly objective way to grade your dab.

We started out looking for the best dabs, handpicking them from all over the Web to find what truly makes a dab great. We created a website that would allow us to capture images using a webcam on Mozilla Firefox, and enabled ourselves to differentiate between wrists, arms, shoulders, and elbows by interacting with the image. Afterward, we would calculate the relevant angles and compare them to the best and brightest dab we could engineer from an average of all our samples from the Web. Instead of hosting it locally, we opted to use AWS and ec2 to host our hack, making it publicly available to everyone with a webcam and internet connectivity.

But the story doesn't end here. We have plans to continue to develop RateYourDab until it can do things like automatically determine your dab score with no input other than an image or keep a running leaderboard with more comprehensive grading potential.

I created the base HTML functions including the ability to record and capture images from the computer's webcam. I handled clicking on the image to define the dab, as well as the coordinate management for them. I also handled displaying the output of the end grading result.
I was responsible for setting up the web server on EC2, and linking it to the Github repo.

I worked on the math part, using the given dots to calculate the angles of the perfect dabs, creating a perfectDab database that I then used statistics to compare the given dabs to the perfect dab data and give a grade out of 100%

Made a GUI for this project, was unable to get javascript to communicate with the C++ application through the web server.
