Inspiration

Since my summer was spent being at home and watching TV and Youtube and I learnt so many great things and I could not find any interactive platform like instagram, facebook just for students to share what they are learning and get in touch with their follow mates and like minded people. A place where students can share what they are learning in free time what they have learnt in their summer vacations. So, I thought of making a platform where it would be possible for anyone to make an ID and post and comment on other fellow students and Hence forming a greater community.

What it does

This Live-Web app is a social media platform where a student can share what they are learning in their free time, like recess, summer breaks or weekends and see what other students are upto.

How I built it

I have build it using ReactJs and Firebase.

Challenges I ran into

Since I was working with Firebase for the first time in backend. It was a challenge for me to work but it worked out pretty smoothly, after 4-5 hours of debugging sessions while setting up firebase-auth and firebase-database.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

First of all I'm proud of coming up with a idea to solve a practical problem. Secondly for have completed building it in 36 hrs, that was a big challenge for me as I was an individual participant Time was a big challenge for me, and applying the knowledge to a practical approach was the next big challenge for me, and Since I made a working app I'm proud of what I've built.

What I learned

I learned to make a working Social Media Platform with Authentication and everything database management and storage management as well.

What's next for Recess

So, Once the app reaches a fair amount of students. Students community can be made to support other fellow students. As we All know Sharing is Caring..The More we Share the more we care the more we learn
