What is Reelize

Reelize uses AI and cutting edge image generation technology to create hundreds of genuinely high quality automated Instagram Reels and TikToks for personalized entertainment.

How we built Reelize

Reelize was built in a client-server architecture, with a Python backend and ReactJS front end. We employed use of Google Cloud and Firebase to store our information on the cloud, to be pulled from requests on our React frontend. We used Moviepy to compile the reels from audio, video, and text sources, and also Midjourney to generate images.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One of our most proud accomplishments is successfully building an API for Midjourney which allows us to receive asynchronous high-quality image generations.

Challenges

There were several dependences in Moviepy that delayed our development due to weak Wi-Fi connections while downloading.

What we learned

We learned new methods in adjusting AI algorithms and storing large data files on Google Cloud and Firebase. We also “reelized” managing edge cases in UI are far more complicated than when developing the backend to an application.

What's next for Reelize

Personalized generative content is the future of entertainment. Over the next few months we want to create an application where people can create personalzied content to post online. As for the next couple days, we will be fleshing our frontend and user experience. We will also make sure to optimize our algorithms establish efficient reel-production.
