Inspiration
According to a survey by Statista, only four percent of people who made New Year's resolutions in 2018 said they kept them. We think that's a very small number and it doesn't have to be.
What it does
It's an application that helps users keep track of their goals thru creating systems for this new year's resolutions. A user is able to set either a system, what the user needs to do to achieve the goal, or a goal itself, which is what a user wants to achieve ultimately. They earn points for the tasks completed, lose points if they skip one, and the points can be converted to $1 donations.
How I built it
It was built using React Native, though not the whole application was fully implemented due to time constraints. The design was done in Adobe XD.
Challenges I ran into
Setting up the project was quite challenging on Windows since we were on two different time zones and had to work remotely. We were also facing network issues, delays in downloading and building.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Proud of the design and the idea we came up with.
What I learned
I learnt about colour theory and colorhunt through my teammate. It was my first time using react-native, and I learned a lot about react and react-native specifically.
What's next for ResoTrack
We plan on fully implementing the application and seeing a proper working prototype developed.
