What it does

Roshambot plays rock paper scissors.

How we built it

The artificial intelligence was built using scikit learn. User input is taken from leap motion, and the hand itself was built using materials provided by robohacks.

Designed the robot hand that the computer controls. It uses laser cut acrylic, elastic bands, fishing wire, and bolts to mimic the motion of a human hand. An Arduino controls the actuation and is signaled by the pipeline.

I worked mostly on the circuitry and coordination side of this project. I wired & programmed our arduino, which was required to bidirectionally control 2 motors and step down and use voltage from an outside power source. Additionally, I wrote the pipeline which linked the python machine learning code to the c wrapper code for the arduino to the java code for the leap. Finally, I helped to write some custom gesture recognition code for the leap platform.
