Inspiration
Had a college counselor who had trouble making sense of students' achievements when applying to college. Created a technique that allowed her to figure out the achievements and rank them. Wanted to bring her technique into a achievement storing app.
What it does
Allows you to store your achievements and ranks achievements based on a profile (with information like your potential major and minor, interests, and hobbies) you also have while using the website.
How I built it
PHP and MySQL. First started by drawing mockups in PowerPoint; followed by lengthy exploration into my first backend development.
Challenges I ran into
This was the first time I exposed myself to backend languages and Object Oriented Programming. Although there was clearly a lot of effort put in, quality of the code wasn't great, but the process encouraged me to do make more relevant projects later.
