TransectNat

This is a very efficient transect

A transect can be used to study population dynamics. We ran into the issue of very little support for path data in the realm of species observations, so we made our own! Our team received feedback from real biologists from the UBC department of Zoology which we incorporated into our design (well, we tried to).

As well as the front facing website, there's also an API that which which users can query and analyze the uploaded data. This project can be thought of as a cross between iNaturalist and Maps Pedometer, combining the best of both worlds!
