Inspiration

We came into this hackathon wanting to make a webscraping project enabling users to take control of their data! We were really happy to walk away from this hackathon doing that and also being able to integrate grpc/protobuf with our tool as well.

What it does

WallMarket uses grpc and python to efficiently fetch data from the walmart website for you to improve your grocery shopping experience and save money!

Challenges we ran into

It was really hard for our team to handle all the dependencies required for this project, additionally we pivoted 3-4 times before settling on this idea. And we also passed out as we got closer to the submission deadline.

Submitting and getting everything to work as intended!

What we learned

Making api's is hard and software architecture is also hard.

What's next for WallMarket

Improving the gui and documentation. Also implementing our tool into other stores aside from walmart.
