Wikitongues is an organization whose stated goal is to give everyone access to all the world’s languages by means of obtaining video samples, offering documentation, and creating a culturally-invested community around their content. Using the Python microframework Flask, MongoDB and YouTube’s API to access their channel of language videos, we prototyped a web app that allows users to more easily submit videos of languages from around the world and navigate their rich body of content.
