Need to be stayed up to date on local & national emergencies? YoMERGENCY utilizes Yo's simple infrastructure to effectively relay necessary information to all YoMERGENCY subscribers about potential threats, such as earthquakes, flash floods, fires, and intruders. Through our web-app (http://yomergency.herokuapp.com/), users can log-in via Facebook to immediately send out warnings quickly and effectively, in addition to being able to track recent YoMERGENCY alerts.
Our project was inspired by the very promising and life-saving applications of Yo currently implemented, such as "RedAlertIsrael" that warns Israelis about incoming missile-strikes, and our goal is to provide a safe, emergency-notification service for all Yo users.
