About the challenge
This year, DonsHack’s theme is UrbanTech. Our hackathon challenges participants to build projects that aim to improve public services. Participants will collaborate to develop innovative solutions that address challenges faced by local governments, public institutions, and communities. Teams participating in the hackathon will have the option to find solutions to common problems within existing technologies, or they may build their own projects from the ground up.

What to Build
Think outside the box! Hackathon projects usually range from websites to IOS applications, but other projects could include Machine Learning Models or a helpful AI service. Because this year's theme revolves around public services, we recommend all participants take a look at the departments found in the California State Department. Look for agencies that say "Department of ...". Some examples are the Department of Transportation, Department of Housing and Community Development, etc.
What to Submit
- Github Link: Complete the Project with a README.txt page explaining your project and its development.
- Code Review Video: A 5-minute video going through all your code giving an in-depth explanation of the functionality, back-end, and any parts you are especially proud of.
