Study In Reflections

I like experimenting with glass, metal, and water in 3D programs because they produce reflections. Reflections add interesting new perspectives to simple scenes.

The sphere on the left is glass and the other is metal.

Look at the spheres and the water and you'll notice that each element reflects things in it's own way. I like how the spheres reflect each other, the sun, and the reflections in the water too.

This is an example of quick computer art. I was looking for a photograph to add to a website and picked one of me photographing myself in a mirror. I then cropped the pic and decided to apply some simple effects. The ones used were emboss, solarize, and sepia.

Editing was done in Irfanview.

Painter Techniques

I made several paintings using 'GIMP' and 'Painter Classic'. I will try to limit my labels but I want to record what techniques I used. I may mention the program used too.

Re - Introduction

When I started using the new Blogger I got playing with Painter Classic and made a blog called 'Leon's Art'. I decided to merge it with this blog. This is what I wrote in the Introduction.

I wanted to start drawing and painting again.

I am not an artist but just an explorer seeking self expression.

I will be adding the artwork without worrying about the exact dates. I will also stick to "photo","3D", "computer art", and "painting" for labels until I have time to add more.
