Thanks to National Lottery players, a new London Mental Health and Climate Coalition from Thrive LDN will work over three years to support Londoners in tackling climate change while also improving their mental health.
London Arts and Health is excited to be involved in this project, which will seek to help communities create local climate solutions, develop policies that combine mental health and climate action, and build infrastructure for ongoing efforts and lasting impact.
Programmes of work that LAH will contribute to include:
- Mapping Creative Health assets related to Climate Change and Mental Health;
- Commissioning projects as part of Creativity and Wellbeing Week;
- Training and advocating for policy change.
As part of our activities, we are really interested in hearing from the Creative Health sector about their work, projects or places that explore the intersections of Climate Change and Mental Health.
This might look like: socially engaged Creative Health Climate practice, running an organisation, workshops or creative practice engaged in Climate for Mental Health, a green space, green social prescribing, nature, heritage or gardening practices, activism, networks, training or anything in between! It might be place-based in a physical location or exist to support Londoners online.
Fill in our short survey and tell us about your work now.
We aim to map activities into a website to elevate this work across London, create case studies of practice and extend the knowledge and reach of this work to more Londoners.
