Hi 👋, I'm Rubén Ballester

An AI researcher working on program synthesis and neurosymbolic AI from Spain 🇪🇸

  • 🏖️ I'm based in Barcelona.
  • 🧑🏽‍💻 I'm currently a research scientist in NDEA and a PhD candidate specializing in high-order and graph learning at the HuPBA lab and the AIDOS lab.
  • 💻 I consider myself a computer scientist and an applied mathematician. I work on creating AGI with hybrid approaches leveraging program synthesis and deep learning. In my free time, I also enjoy working on mathematical fields related to geometry, topology, and logic.
  • ❤️ My current main interests are program synthesis, neurosymbolic AI, foundation models, program synthesis, and AI4Maths.
  • ✍️ Aside from research, I love software engineering. I enjoy exploring new design patterns and improving the efficiency of my programs, even though I don't engage in large-scale research.
  • ☕ Like everyone, I love coffee.
