Founders

The Founder Guild is an invite-only community for the best NYC-based, early-stage founders that we at FirstMark have met with as a firm. Every member must fit our criteria and be personally vetted by a member of the FirstMark team.

More from Guilds

Check out our database of experts that have been recommended by Guild members. It continues to grow and evolve to meet our members’ needs, and we welcome new recommendations.

FirstMark hosts countless events each year, from virtual Guild events to large in-person summits in NYC. If you’re interested in speaking, we would love for you to reach out.

We partner with leading companies on events and summits, to power specific communities, to offer discounts or access to beta programs to our members, and more.

Guidelines to ensure a valuable experience for all Guild members

Guild events feature some of the best and brightest in our industry. We ask that everyone who joins keeps their camera on, and actively participates in the session.

We don’t allow any pitching in the forums unless it’s in direct response to a fellow member asking about the challenge you or your company is solving.

The focus of Guilds is on tactical, company-building lessons and discussions, so we ask members not to share open roles or candidates which could quickly dilute the community.

Chatham House Rules apply to all Guild sessions and forums as we want members to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing opinions with each other.

The Guilds are invaluable—I’ve really enjoyed connecting with experienced leaders for intimate conversations on topics that matter.”

As leaders, we're bombarded with invites to countless leadership groups—this one is actually worth it. Every time we meet, I walk away with an insight I can use to impact my team and our results.
Cammie Dunaway
CMO, Duolingo (NASDAQ: DUOL)

The closed-door sessions are a game-changer. Honest conversations with other CFOs about what’s really happening across the tech ecosystem, and how folks are navigating it. The peer mentorship is invaluable.
Sruthi Lanka
CFO, Public.com

The magic of the CTO Guild is that it's there whenever you need it, and invisible when you don't. There's no noise, no annoying emails, no reminders, but when I want to quickly reach hundreds of peer CTOs, I can do so with one email, and get a series of high-quality, curated responses in very short order.
Amit Prakash
Cofounder & CTO, ThoughtSpot

Our rigorous operating principles for a best-in-class community

Our Guilds have been specifically and strategically designed to deliver maximum value to members in a manner that seamlessly integrates into existing workflows.

We care about the right members, not the number of members. Every addition to Guilds is personally vetted by the FirstMark team and must meet highly specific criteria.

Chatham House Rules apply to all Guild sessions as we prefer to focus on what you won’t hear publicly, so that we can instead give you powerful insights from behind-the-scenes.

Guilds are built to provide real, tangible value, which is why we focus on playbooks, templates, masterclasses, and off-the-record teardowns. Whether you're attending an event or asking a question in the forum, you'll get highly specific, tactical information you can use.
